Keith Weyrick — Co-Founder
Keith Weyrick’s roots run deep in South Florida’s green industry. A second-generation nurseryman, Keith and his family owned and operated Quail Roost Nursery, Inc. for 43 years in south Miami-Dade County. The nursery produced an extensive variety of palms, trees, and shrubs—from 1-gallon plants to mature field-grown specimens—across 35 acres. Their plant materials reached customers throughout the eastern United States, Canada, the Caribbean, and even Saudi Arabia. Keith managed the business until its sale in 2003, and although the nursery closed in 2004, the property remains in production today.
Keith entered the lawn care industry in late 1997 when he purchased a franchised organic-based lawn care business in response to a glaring lack of plant health care knowledge in the spray industry. In 1998, he opened the Miami location of NaturaLawn of America. His commitment to exceptional service quickly expanded his client base to more than 300 residential and commercial accounts, including the Airport Corporate Center. After a major car accident in 2006, he sold the client base and took time off.
During a four-year sabbatical, Keith became both a US Coast Guard–licensed captain and a UK-licensed captain. He returned to the green industry working for a large local lawn and ornamental spray company, serving first as a consultant and later as Customer Service and Quality Control Manager. During this time, he met Ian Maguire, and together they recognized the need for a knowledgeable, reliable plant health care company. Their shared vision led to the formation of Plant Health Care Systems of South Florida, LLC.
Keith has been a Florida State Certified Pest Control Operator since 2001 and is certified in Florida Green Industry Best Management Practices. With over 15 years in plant health care and pest control—and a lifetime in nursery production—Keith brings unmatched expertise to the company. His leadership experience includes managing two businesses simultaneously with up to 26 employees.
